The biochemical evaluation like carbohydrate, protein, lipid, calorific and water content were studied in O. rugosus in mature, immature male & female whole animal apart from arm and mantle. The values were varied carbohydrate 0.91 to 1.54 %, protein 39.5 to 67.8 %, lipid 6.2 to 12.6 % and calorific content 2.25 to 4.96
